You can have the best written safety program in the world, but if it just lives in a binder on in a back-office shelf, it’s not going to do you any good.

At All South Underground, protecting the health and safety of employees, clients, the public, and the environment is a primary concern. Our staff lives our safety program every day.

We make every reasonable effort to promote, create, and maintain a safe and healthy workplace. This can only be realized by adherence to basic safety principles, sound management practices, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and local codes, laws, and standards. To achieve this, All South has developed a comprehensive and effective environmental health and safety plan that endeavors to eliminate unsafe conditions and minimize the risk of hazardous tasks. Through management and engineering safety systems, we have built a safety culture that involves all levels of the organization beginning with upper management. In doing so, our goals to reduce illness and injury to personnel, prevent property damage, and protect the environment are ingrained in our company culture and work processes.

Safety training for all new-hires includes a comprehensive safety orientation and all field crews participate in regular “safety toolbox” meetings. Refresher training keeps existing staff sharp. Random field safety checks assure compliance and provide consistent corrective action.

Incidents, while rare, are investigated and utilized as teachable moments to improve protocols and further educate workers.
